Discovering Meditation 1day seminar

Are you drawn to the practice of meditation? Have you heard of the benefits of a meditation practice and wanted to learn how exactly one goes about meditating? Do you already meditate- but wonder if you're "doing it right" or you've wondered, "is there more to this?" This is a seminar designed to teach new students the: "What", "Why", and "how" of meditation. If you are brand new to meditation or looking for more answers about meditation this is the seminar for you!

We will give you clear explinations not only on how to meditate- but also why you would meditate and how different kinds of meditation might be helpful at different times. We will provide you with a simple modle of meditation that you can use to help clairify, simplify and improve your meditation practice. We will spend time talking about the concepts of meditation, safe practices for meditation and ways to keep a meditation practice in your life.

In this seminar you will learn several meditation techinques, built to serve different goals- covering topics such as simple relaxation all the way to enlightenment. If you want to get a little more information about meditation, you should come to this seminar!

You will need to provide a meditation cushion and blanket for this seminar (see links below). We will provide a light lunchtime meal. You are welcome to bring note pad or journal, but leave your electronic devices at the door.
