About this Event

Are you curious about the rich cultural significance of Nose Hill and its deep roots in Calgary’s history?

Join us for a meaningful walk through this beautiful natural environment park with Métis biologist Berna-Dean Holland. She’ll be sharing her knowledge about the plants and animals in the area based on her lived experiences and their cultural importance and uses for Métis people.

During the walk, you’ll also take part in a journaling and drawing activity—this is a chance to slow down and reflect about what you’ve learned in a creative and personal way. This is a unique opportunity to connect with nature, culture, and community.

Don’t miss out—spaces are limited, so sign up today! We’d love to see you there.

NOTE:

  • Expect an easy to moderate hike with some elevation gains
  • This event is for participants 7 years of age and older (children must be accompanied by an adult)
  • All supplies for the journaling and drawing activity will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own supplies if you like.
  • Please come dressed and prepared for the weather (walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water, umbrella, blanket to sit on, etc.)
