Unlike a festival or guided tour, Detroit Legacy Weekend is designed as a self-guided discovery experience, allowing participants to explore at their own pace and in their own way.

The Legacy Loop is the featured downtown experience during Detroit Legacy Weekend. Connected by the Detroit People Mover, the Loop encourages participants to shop, taste, and visit many of Detroit's legacy businesses, restaurants, cultural institutions, and historic places throughout the weekend.
