Director’s Walk & Talk: Moot Hill
About this Event
This relaxed walk around the Norfolk Archeology Trust's most recent acquasition. Moot Hill is one of the area’s most intriguing secrets – a dramatic earthwork steeped in mystery. Believed to be a Norman ringwork fortification from the late 11th or early 12th century and linked to the powerful D’Albini family, this 7.86-acre site may even conceal traces of an Iron Age settlement dating back over 2,000 years. This talk will show what has been done to make the site accessible to visitors.
There will be time for questions and conversation whilst visiting the site.
The Director’s Walk & Talk is an exclusive benefit of the Support Your Site scheme. Places are limited. The walk takes place outdoors over uneven ground, so suitable footwear is advised.
