We’re coming together to serve those in need again. It’s great to meet at the bar for kickbacks and networking. We believe this work is just as important. At the end of the month, the need is greatest for unhoused. We want to serve on a what will a key day for unhoused people to recieve a quality meal. On March 29, 510 Hikers will be buying and serving dinner service for 150 people at CityTeam, and we’re looking for 15 volunteers to show up to make it happen.
👥 Volunteer Needs
• 6 volunteers arrive at 4:00 PM (food prep + kitchen prep setup).
• 9 volunteers arrive at 5:00 PM (cooking support, serving, and cleanup)
Each of the 15 people, please find ONE jacket or nice warm sweater to bring to help with the clothes giveaway. Ask a friend or neighbor or coworker. We want to bring 20 plus quality items to add to what they have to hand out.
We will:
✅ Buy the food ourselves
✅ Prepare and cook the meal
✅ Serve dinner (this part matters most — connection happens here)
✅ Help clean afterward
We intentionally do this so we’re not using CityTeam’s supplies — we come ready to give fully.
💛 Small Donations Needed
To make this possible, we use 510 Hikers donation money but we are gonna need help too. We are asking for:
• 12 members to contribute a small donation (max $25) toward groceries and supplies
• No donation should exceed $25 — collective effort over individual burden. And only 12. Once we hit 12 ($300) we will end asking. Takes about $600 to prepare full dinner for 150 people.

🌍 Why This Matters
Service is part of who we are. It’s important that as a community, we use what we have our time, energy, and resources to support the community that exists outside of us too.
This isn’t just about feeding people.
It’s about showing up, serving with dignity, and continuing a tradition of giving back through action that have been known for.
We are going with our 510 red and black. So, red and black hoodies or shirts for everyone please to show our pride and solidarity.
If you’re ready to help cook, serve, connect, and build community — join us.
15 people there to assist and 12 donators.
I want to focus on people who have shown up to hikes this year. It’s a small group assembled and knowing who will be there and knowing our 510 culture of service is big to us. We want these events to supplement hikes we are showing up to and not substituting for them.
It’s important to show help in times where this country seems to be losing humanity for others. The 510 community is strong. Let’s not be passive and spectators towards goodness.
