About the history of Alhambra Irish House Legend has it that Wyatt Earp and his wife, Josephine "Josie" Marcus, frequented the historic Alhambra Theater and Saloon in Redwood City, CA, during the late 1890s, where local lore says Josie performed on stage.

• Redwood City Connection: Wyatt Earp frequented the Alhambra Bar and Tavern on Main Street during the 1890s.
• The Legend: Stories claim Earp watched Josie perform in a play at the 1,500-seat Alhambra Theater (then the largest between San Francisco and San Jose) around January 1896.
• Historical Accuracy: While they lived in Northern California and visited the area, some sources dispute that Josie was still performing as a dancer at that time.
• Location Today: The historic site is now the Alhambra Irish House at 831 Main St, which acknowledges this history.
