AFRICAN PEACE ASSOCIATION (APA) OPENS APPLICATIONS FOR MAJOR TRAINING ON DIGITAL PEACEBUILDING, HATE SPEECH, AND AFRICA'S ECONOMIC FUTURE.
The African Peace Association (APA) is pleased to announce the official launch of applications for its flagship training program on Digital Peacebuilding, Countering Hate Speech, and Africa’s Economic Future.
As Africa continues to experience rapid digital transformation, social media has become both a powerful tool for unity and a platform where misinformation, disinformation, and hate speech can fuel division and conflict. Recognizing this challenge, APA is bringing together emerging leaders, digital creators, journalists, researchers, students, activists, policymakers, and peacebuilders to strengthen their capacity to promote peace and responsible digital engagement.
The training will provide participants with practical knowledge and skills in:
� Digital Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention
� Countering Hate Speech and Online Harm
� Media and Information Literacy
� Responsible Social Media Engagement
� Peace Communication and Narrative Change
� Understanding the Economic Costs of Conflict and Division
� Youth Leadership for Peace and Social Cohesion
� Policy and Community-Based Responses to Online Hate
The program seeks to empower participants to become agents of positive change, fostering inclusive dialogue, social cohesion, and sustainable peace across communities.
