Diego and Alejandra teach tango at La Bruja, Berkeley City Club (dance classes)

Diego Lanau and Alejandra Saravia teach tango in Berkeley! They will be teaching for eight Wednesdays, starting September 2nd. Tango is an improvisational dance based on connection and communication. Diego and Alejandra are experts in explaining the nuances of the dance.
These classes are taught using the terms "leaders" and "followers," and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people.
Series 1: Wednesdays: Sept 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd
Series 2: Wednesdays, Sept 30th, Oct. 7th, 14th, 21st
6:45 pm: check-in
7:00-8:00 pm beginning tango series
8:00-8:30 pm practica
8:30-9:30 pm intermediate tango series
9:30-10:00 pm practica
The intermediate classes are geared towards people who have been dancing tango for about three months (12 tango classes). If you take Beginner Series 1, we would most likely recommend that you continue with Beginner Series 2. You can switch levels if necessary.
The practicas are included with the classes. Stay, dance, and ask questions!
$80 general admission (series of four classes, beg. or int.)
$25 general admission (single class, beg. or int.)
$15 student with ID (single class, beg. or int.)
$40 both classes in one evening (one person)
We accept cash and venmo at the door.

We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. For bike parking, use the bell to enter through the service entrance, and go straight to get to the back courtyard. No parking in the Berkeley City Club lot.
