Rooted, radiant, and seriously fun. Low impact, high vibes in Berkeley.

Looking for an intentional space to get out of your head, shake off stress, and actually have a great time moving your body? This September, join world-class pioneer and master teacher Jill Parker at Spring Fall Dance Studio for Sensuous Flow & Embodied Rhythm—a 4-week introduction to somatic bellydance designed entirely for beginners.

This series strips away the stuffy, high-pressure rules of traditional dance studios. Instead, we dive into the pure physical joy of gorgeous music, exploration, and genuine human connection right here in the East Bay.

What you will experience over 4 weeks:

Focused Fun & Dynamic Energy: Unwind through sensuous, feel-good movement that leaves you feeling energized, inspired, alive.

Somatic Connection: Cultivate a deep brain-body connection, building your physical coordination from the ground up.

Sensuous Stress Reduction: Melt away tension with low-impact, fluid pathways that are both deeply relaxing and physically invigorating.

Exceptional Instruction: Learn from a global pioneer gifted in using clear visualizations and an encouraging, building-block approach to make movement accessible and deeply enjoyable.

True Camaraderie: Experience a warm, patient learning space that fosters a beautiful community, shared laughter, a safe space, and personal growth.

An Unapologetically Inclusive Space:

Movement belongs to everyone. This series proudly and explicitly centers folks of all ages, sizes, genders, and orientations. We are a queer and trans-affirming space. No dance background is required, and no bare bellies are necessary. Just wear your favorite comfy clothes and bring your curiosity!

Registration is open. Spaces are limited to keep the studio energy focused, playful, and high-vibe.

Jill Parker is internationally recognized as a pioneer of fusion Bellydance. A lifelong student and devoted lover of Bellydance, she is renowned for bringing her trademark earthy, grounded, and slinky sensuality to the form.

Based in San Francisco, Jill played a pivotal role in shaping the thriving fusion bellydance scene that flourished throughout the 1990s and 2000s. As an original member of FatChanceBellyDance® (FCBD), she later went on to found her own trailblazing fusion bellydance theater company—one that helped launch the careers of many of today’s leading fusion dancers.

For more than three decades, JP has refined a masterful approach to teaching that consistently sparks breakthroughs for dancers of all levels. A generous and insightful instructor, she has a rare ability to demystify this sensuous art form, meticulously breaking down complex movements into their essential components and making technique, nuance, and embodied flow both clear and accessible.

Now teaching and performing internationally, Jill offers classes, workshops, and private lessons between tour dates. Whether in San Francisco or abroad, she is known for cultivating heart-forward classes that emphasize joy, well-being, and a strong sense of community.
