'Twas the Saturday before Christmas, and all through The Lift,
The drinkers were buzzing, demanding more riffs.
Bartenders dashed, pouring fast for their tips,
As the stage came alive for the grand final Dickmas!
Pure Service and Dick Hubert are leading the helm,
With fresh faces from Dubuque’s music realm.
Kiss won’t appear—sorry to say,
But Peter Crisstmas will sing on Dickmas day.
What surprises await when the Dickmas bells chime?
A bunny? A Grinch? Three kings this time?
Or perhaps the Ramones will play some Beastie Boys tunes,
Amid laughter and cheers under festive saloons.
Will snow fall indoors, as it once did before?
Will confetti cascade while you all shout for more?
The Inn’s bursting full; no room left for the Lord,
So why not The Lift be the place where Jesus is born!
So tuck in the kids, give your crew a quick call,
And race to The Lift for a night to enthrall.
And as you arrive, we’ll shout with delight:
“Merry Dickmas to all, see you Saturday night!”
