About this Event

The Diamond Family Archive

The Diamond Family Archive are a unique multi-instrumentalist roving ensemble based around the guitar playing and songwriting of Laurence Collyer. Haunting, fragile, sublime lo-fi melancholia, atmospheric, lazy grace…these are some of the words used to describe their music. Strange and tender songs; personal and pastoral themes; mixed with sleepy-eyed awe creating intense, spectral folk with a distinctly British sound.

Michael Plater

Michael Plater is an Australian experimental/indie/folk/noir musician, who currently divides his time between Australia and the U.K. He has played all over the world, including performances at such festivals as Dark Mofo (Tasmania) and Leigh Folk Festival (England), and he has toured extensively throughout Europe. His music has been released on such U.K. labels as Cruel Nature Records, Reverb Worship, Fenny Compton, Woodford Halse, Dub Cthonic, and Hypostatic Union. His 2023 album, "Ghost Music", was highly acclaimed, and was voted as the 4th best album of the year in U.K. music publication Sun 13. He also plays in the “Greek psych folk” collective The Taps of the Holy Trinity (who recently released their lauded debut album “Customs & Rituals” on Fenny Compton), the Greek/Italian/Australian collaboration The Right Hand Is Doomed to Blacken, and the “horror soundscapes” project The Northern Lighthouse Board. He will be joined by Oxford musician Roger Dalrymple on mandolin in Totnes.

Tim Williams

Tim Williams is an acclaimed veteran of the Australian music scene, having been the principal songwriter and front person for Death Valley PTA, Colourwheel, Goldentone, The Low-Fi Cowboys, Tender Fall, and now The Endless Winter. His work is an enticing blend of melodic guitar pop with a nod towards alternative country and indie-folk. Music critics suggest he performs “heartfelt songs that deal with emotional loss, broken relationships and yearning”. He creates “a mood that is sensitive, intense and graceful”. Tim has played at major music festivals including The Big Day Out, The Adelaide Fringe, and The Harvest Festival and has supported such legendary acts as Bjork, The Stone Roses, The Go-Betweens, The Church, Ed Kuepper, and Robert Forster over the course of his career. The debut album from “Tim Williams and the Endless Winter”, Dark Sky Reserve, is out now.
