About this Event

This training is designed to strengthen clinical understanding of key diagnostic differences, treatment planning considerations, and ethical decision-making.

Participants will review DSM-5-TR criteria and compare Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Major Depressive Disorder with Psychotic Features. The session will focus on mood symptoms, psychosis, duration, and functional impairment to support accurate clinical thinking and documentation.

Participants will also explore treatment objectives and interventions for individuals presenting with these diagnoses and process ethical scenarios using the NBCC Code of Ethics and guide to ethical decision-making.

One hour of this training is dedicated to ethics.

This is a repeat of the June 30, 2026 training.
