Diagnosed: A Mental Health Journey : ART GALLERY / GROUP EXHIBITION

Come and experience an exhibition that invites us not simply to look at mental health, but to talk about it, understand it and connect through it.

🎨 Diagnosed :A Mental Health Journey is a three-day exhibition marking World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2026 but celebrating it from 23rd october, bringing together art, poetry, music and spoken word to create space for open, honest and meaningful conversations about mental health.
The exhibition aims to foster empathy, challenge stigma and promote greater understanding through the power of creative expression.
While Diagnosed is a group exhibition featuring the work of several artists, its centrepiece is a collection of original illustrations inspired by the book Diagnosed — a collection of 24 poems chronicling the mental health journey of poet, artist and author Mervin Scott.

🌟 What to Expect (DETAILS SUBJECT TO UPDATES IN SEPTEMBER)

  Friday 23rd October | 17:30pm–10pm
  Opening Night
  Exhibition, music, spoken word and creative performances.
  Diagnosed Film – Part 1
  The first part of the Diagnosed film will be screened, bringing the poems and illustrations from the collection to life through visual storytelling.
  Saturday 24th October | 2pm–10pm
  World Mental Health Day
  Exhibition, workshops and creative activities.
  Workshop programme to be announced.
  Evening Programme | 6pm
  An evening of art, poetry, music and spoken word celebrating World Mental Health Day.
  Diagnosed Film – Part 2
  The second part of the Diagnosed film continues the journey through poetry, visual art and personal experience.
  Sunday 25th October | 2pm–19:30pm
  Closing Night
  The final day of the exhibition will feature creative encounters, closing activities and a special guest speaker.
  Diagnosed Film – Part 3: The Closing Night
  The final part of the Diagnosed film brings the three-part journey to its conclusion, completing the story told through the poems and accompanying illustrations.
  Guest Speaker
  A special guest speaker will join us on the closing night to share personal insight and perspectives on mental health wellbeing and the importance of open and honest conversation.
  

Experience Immersion

Alongside the exhibition, the event will bring together musicians, spoken-word poets and visual artists, creating an opportunity to connect, share experiences and explore mental health through different forms of creative expression.
