Diabetes Awareness (Sears Branch)

The Abilene Public Library is partnering with Hendrick Medical Center for monthly informative talks on medical topics that impact our community. Hosted in the classroom of the Sears Recreation Center, this will be a repeat session of the first program that was hosted at the Daniels Recreation Center focusing on Diabetes Awareness. Diabetes impacts more than one-tenth of the U.S. population, but many cases can be prevented. Join a representative from Hendrick Medical Center for an engaging discussion on diabetes awareness, what causes the disease, and the lifestyle choices that can help lower your risk.
