The Abilene Public Library is partnering with Hendrick Medical Center for monthly informative talks on medical topics that impact our community. Hosted in the classroom of the Daniels Branch Library (located inside the G.V. Daniels Recreation Center), our next topic will be on heart attacks and strokes. Be a part of this educational session designed to help you recognize the warning signs of heart attacks and strokes and learn what you can do to reduce your risk. This interactive program will cover the importance of heart-healthy lifestyle choices, managing risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol, and knowing when to seek emergency medical care. Participants will leave with practical strategies to protect their heart and brain health and the confidence to act quickly in a medical emergency. This session will be led by Linda Moffatt and Emily Hernandez, the AMI Coordinator and Stroke Coordinator at Hendrick Health.
