DFW Kellogg Cares Day

Kellogg Cares Day is an annual event where Kellogg employees, alumni, and community members come together to give back to local communities. Through volunteer efforts, participants engage in various service projects, from food drives to environmental cleanups, to make a positive impact. This day embodies Kellogg's commitment to social responsibility and demonstrates how collective action can create meaningful change. By partnering with local organizations, Kellogg Cares Day strengthens communities and fosters a culture of compassion and service.

This year, as last year, we are helping Cornerstone Crossroads Academy, a second chance high school in South Dallas. We will be helping with landscaping at the Phillis Wheatley school just a short distance from Fair Park.

About Cornerstone Crossroads Academy (CCA):

Cornerstone Crossroads Academy is a second-chance high school in South Dallas where students ages 17-25 can earn a diploma, discover their purpose, and find pathways to success. The mission of Cornerstone Crossroads Academy is to develop urban youth through transformative education, equipping future leaders to positively impact their families and communities.

Our students are overcoming major obstacles to completing high school, from being teen parents to facing homelessness, generational poverty, and academic instability. Our small, family-like atmosphere welcomes students with open arms and walks alongside them while they earn a traditional high school diploma or GED. Students receive case management services including access to healthcare, dental and vision care, assistance obtaining a state ID or driver's license, and transitioning to college or the workforce. Vocational pathways help students with an on-ramp to the jobs with livable wages.
