We're kicking off the first DFW disc golf social meetup at Lakewood Brewing in Garland, and you're invited.
No tournament. No clinic. No agenda. Just a chance to meet other disc golfers in the area, swap stories, and hang out somewhere that isn't a tee pad for once.

WHAT'S THE VIBE?
Casual. Come-and-go. No pressure.
Show up at 4, stay till 6, or drop in for 20 minutes. We'll have a check-in station so you can grab a name tag, meet some folks, and settle in.
There'll be a photo op spot (because why not), and we'll have a quick survey if you want to help us plan future events. That's it.
This isn't a networking mixer. It's not speed-friending. It's just what happens when you put a bunch of disc golfers in a brewery and let conversations happen naturally.

THE BACKSTORY
I'm Mandy. I'm not running a disc golf company or org—I noticed there wasn't really a consistent spot for the community to gather outside of leagues and tournaments, and thought "someone should do something about that."
Turns out I'm someone. So here we are.
If this first one goes well, we'll do it again every other month. Same spot, same vibe, growing community.
Lakewood Brewing was kind enough to give us space (and fun fact: one of their managers is an avid disc golfer). They've been awesome to work with, so let's show up and support them.

Yeah, if you can. It helps us let the venue know how many people to expect, and you'll get reminders so you don't forget.
But also: if you forget to RSVP and show up anyway, that's cool too. We're not checking a list at the door.

QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE
**"I don't know anyone. Will it be awkward?"**
Most people are coming solo or with one friend. That's the whole point—meeting new people. Plus, disc golfers are generally pretty friendly humans.
**"Do I need to bring discs?"**
Nope. This is a social hangout, not a playing session. Just bring yourself.
**"What if I'm terrible at disc golf?"**
Then you'll fit right in with most of us. (Kidding. Kind of.)
**"Is this one of those MLM things?"**
No. I'm not selling anything. No pitch, no upsell, no "business opportunity." Just community.
**"Can I leave if it's weird?"**
Obviously. You're a grown-up. But it won't be weird.
