About this Event
DEVELOPING A HEALTHY MINDSET
Stress happens, and often! Is stress always bad? Is there anything we can do about it? Among resilience factors, adopting a healthy mindset increases confidence, reduces feelings of stress, increases positive mood, builds motivation, and improves performance. As early educators, doing the meaningful but challenging work of supporting children’s development can indeed feel stressful! In this session, you will learn about the research on healthy mindsets, in ways that can help you at every phase of the stress process: before, during and after stressful occasions. You will have a chance to practice these strategies individually and in groups, and will leave the session with practical tips and activities to foster a healthy mindset. Learning about and adopting a healthy mindset can help you feel better and may even improve your experience and impact in the classroom.
