Let's go ride a bike, to see people fly a kite!Riding to Belle Isle for the Detroit Kite Festival
One Group:
35+ Miles | 12 MPH Pace
This is a no drop ride, but you should be able to ride at 12 MPH over an extended period.
- Meetup 9:30 am @ Downey Brewing
- Group Picture: 9:55 am
- Roll: 10:00 am (Be On Time!)
We will ride down to Belle Isle for the Kite Festival activities. After spending some time on Belle Isle, we will make a couple stops on the way back. These are subject to change:
Stop at Lagerhaus No. 5 w/ DeutschTroit for lunch
Stop at Abick's Bar for a beverage
Return to Downey Brewing

- This is a social ride, but you should be able to maintain a 12 mph pace over an extended period of time.
- This is a no drop ride, but you should have extra tubes and equipment to take care of your own minor repairs if needed.
- In the event of a major mechanical issue you should have your own backup plan to get home (i.e. Phone a friend or Uber)
- Bike riding can be a dangerous activity and accidents to happen. Downey Brewing and/or the ride organizers assuming no responsibility for your safety or well being while on the ride.
- You take responsibly for your own safety.
- Helmets are highly, highly, suggested (please wear one).
