About this Event

Join us for the culminating event of Mind & Body Equity Week, a community initiative dedicated to advancing mental and physical health awareness in Detroit.

The Wellness for the Mind & Body Summit brings together mental health professionals, community leaders, wellness advocates, and residents for a powerful day of conversation, education, and connection.

This in-person event will feature:

• A dynamic keynote speaker focused on health equity and community wellness
• A panel discussion with mental health professionals addressing real challenges facing our communities
Community resource vendors providing information about services and support
Wellness demonstrations focused on stress reduction, movement, and holistic health
• Opportunities for networking, learning, and community engagement

This summit is designed to turn awareness into action by connecting individuals and families with resources that support mental wellness, physical health, and healthier communities.

Whether you are a community member, advocate, educator, healthcare professional, or simply someone interested in improving your well-being, this event offers meaningful conversations and practical tools for a healthier future.

Host: Maria B. Stanfield, LLP

Info: Maria Beth Stanfield is a dynamic behavioral health executive, master’s-level psychologist, entrepreneur, and doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology with more than 20 years of experience serving families across Metro Detroit. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Western Michigan University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy and is currently completing her PhD at Walden University.


Maria serves as Program Director for Behavioral Health Urgent Care in the Detroit area where she oversees crisis stabilization and community-based mental health services. She has also held senior leadership roles as Director of Strategic Operations for Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network and Clinical Director at Black Family Development, Inc., leading large-scale initiatives focused on access, quality improvement, accreditation readiness, and system transformation.
She is the Founder and Owner of My Sister’s KEYPERS, Inc..
