Design Your Own Pollinator Paradise!
About this Event

Transform your space from an ecological desert into a living sanctuary.

Join BE Wild for an interactive, hands-on workshop and demonstration dedicated to Central Texas pollinators. While standard landscaping treats yards like static outdoor wallpaper, we look at the land through the lens of Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK)—as a interconnected ecosystem where plants, insects, and people all support one another.

Whether you have a sprawling backyard or just enough space for a porch setup, this workshop will give you the practical, ecological blueprint to invite butterflies, native bees, and wildlife back to your corner of Austin.

What We’ll Cover:

🦋 The Anatomy of a Pollinator Paradise: Learn the core principles of designing a native plant garden that thrives in our intense Texas climate. We’ll show you how to choose species that offer continuous blooms, nectar, and larval host defense across the seasons.

🌱 The Foundation: Living Soil Demonstration: You can’t have a healthy ecosystem above ground without a thriving universe below it. We will demonstrate how we build our signature "Living Soil" using our Zero Bare Soil rule and organic layers to retain deep moisture, protect microbial life, and fight off the summer heat.

🐝 Meet the Mini Meadow Movement: See our custom Pollination Education Stations up close and learn about our large-scale urban installations. Find out how our unique partnership with Good Morning Tree Service and local female entrepreneurs keeps our ecological loop entirely community-powered.

🎟️ Admission: Free to attend! (Native plant guides, consultation bookings, and Pollination Stations will be available on-site).
Who is This For?

This workshop is for the curious, the eco-conscious, and anyone ready to ditch the high-maintenance, water-guzzling lawn for a dynamic, self-sustaining habitat. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and connect with a community of women dedicated to healing the Austin watershed.

Spaces are limited for our morning demonstrations, so reserve your spot today!

Be Bold. Be Brave. Be Wild.
