Join us for an HSW-certified healthcare CEU, Acuity Zones in Healthcare, presented by MillerKnoll, followed by an exclusive tour of Mission Cancer + Blood, now part of University of Iowa Health Care.

Presented by Jenny Mallette-Nichols, WELL AP, Healthcare Sales and Application Specialist for MillerKnoll and co-author of the Acuity Zones in Healthcare CEU, this session explores how acuity levels in healthcare spaces should guide furniture specification. This course introduces a zone-based, evidence-based design framework that aligns products with clinical sensitivity; creating purpose-built environments that enhance healing, safety, efficiency, and emotional well-being. Learn how to specify the right product for the right space to improve performance, control costs, and deliver welcoming, human-centered environments in today’s consumer-driven healthcare market.

Mission Cancer + Blood is a newly completed 32,000 square-foot oncology and hematology practice in Des Moines, complemented by an 8,000 square-foot Ph*rm*cy on the building's first floor. Designed to support both patient care and staff wellbeing, the space incorporates innovative healthcare planning strategies, thoughtful interior solutions, and advanced prefabricated construction methods to create an efficient, welcoming environment for patients, families, and caregivers.

Following the CEU, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the facility and learn more about the design considerations, project delivery approach, and solutions that helped bring this healthcare environment to life.
