About this Event
China Plate are working in partnership with Unlimited, to collaboratively facilitate one of our upcoming People-Focused Producing sessions.
People-Focused Producing is our ongoing programme of free, one-off training sessions, each looking at a specific aspect of making creative projects happen. Sessions are led by guest facilitators and offer participants toolkits and resources that unlock essential producing skills, in-depth insight and perspective.
China Plate and Unlimited invites you to join Vijay Patel and Sarah Tarry for an informal and interactive workshop. The workshop will cover the social model of disability and how to talk about disability. It will also take an in-depth look at access riders, their importance, and how to create them, providing participants with a toolkit for best practice.
If you’re looking for support specifically around how to approach your own access rider and requirements, there will be a breakout moment during the workshop, with an opportunity to have a 1-2-1 conversation with either Vijay or Sarah.
This session will be delivered in person and is open to doers* and early career producers of all backgrounds, ages, genders, social and economic backgrounds, ethnicities, religions and sexual orientations, and from people who are disabled, D/deaf, or have chronic health conditions.
* Doers: Those without a creative background who actively create and produce work in and with their communities.
Places are limited for this session and booking is required to secure your space.
If we can make this workshop more accessible to you, please contact China Plate’s Training & Development Producer Kristina at [email protected] by Thursday 20th June.
