Dementia is Everybody's Business

To support Dementia Action Week, our Coffee & Conversation event is coming a little later than usual but with a truly meaningful collaboration as we partner with Dementia Action Teesside.

Together, we are continuing the conversation around dementia, raising awareness, encouraging understanding, and exploring how our community can become more involved in supporting those affected.

This event promises to get everybody in the room talking, learning, and reflecting on the impact dementia has on individuals, families, workplaces, and communities. With over 200 types of dementia, it remains something that is still not spoken about enough and through this event we hope to help change that.

About Dementia Action Teesside
Dementia Action Teesside is a local charity dedicated to improving the lives of people living with dementia, alongside their families and carers. They provide practical support, guidance, education, activities, and opportunities for connection within the community, helping to reduce isolation and create a more dementia-friendly Teesside.

Businesses and organisations attending will also have the opportunity to learn how they can get involved through Dementia Friends training, workplace awareness initiatives, and by becoming more dementia-inclusive within their own environments and services.

Our venue partner for this event is Holiday Inn Express Middlesbrough – Centre Square, who have kindly provided lunch refreshments and continue to support dementia awareness within our community.
