Dementia & Physical Activity: Prevention, Reminiscence and Participation
Join us in person during Dementia Action Week as we dive into the role Sport & Physical Activity can play, alongside a Dementia Friends Session.
If you work in sport, fitness or physical activity then this is a fantastic opportunity to understand the important relationship the sector has for those living with and affected by dementia.
We'll hear from the following:
- Alzheimer's Society on Brain Health & Modifying Dementia Risk
- Barnsley Community Trust on their Health & Wellbeing Offer
- People living with Dementia and their Carers
- Dementia Friends- All attendees will leave part of this 4 million strong community- including a free badge!
We'll be joined by several providers of local support services with information stands including BIADS, Barnsley Hospice, Age UK and more.
This event is primarily for those working in the sport and leisure industry and/or professionals in social care.
