Dementia Action Week: In My Shoes

This year for Dementia Action Week, Glenholme Senior Living will be inviting family, friends and visitors to experience what it may feel like for people living with dementia, by giving them the opportunity to participate in our experiential learning module – In my shoes.

In my shoes, is an immersive experience that provides you with an insight of what it may feel like for a person who is living with dementia. By stepping into the world of a person living with dementia, we begin to truly understand some of the challenges they may face on a daily basis. During the experience you may encounter feelings of increased anxiety, confusion, isolation and vulnerability. Experiencing these emotions can help us to build empathy and awareness, enabling us to understand some of the challenges people living with dementia face on a day-to-day basis.

This is a free event for anyone wishing to learn more about dementia in a supportive and informative environment.
