Delilah’s turning 12 🥳

It’s been five years since we last gathered for Delilah’s birthday, which happened the following year after the painful loss of My Mom and Dale. Back then, I completely shut down and my children bore the brunt having to pay the price for MY grieving, SO; The next year in 2021, I fought so hard and did everything in my power to throw her a proper birthday party, making sure that nobody else would have to miss out on her growing up like they had to some others and me having to carry all of that blame-
I wanted and needed everyone to see her grow, I just couldn't let her feel unimportant or wonder why no one was showing up for her, and a majority of it being my fault. Mostly, I did it so she wouldn't have to question her own sanity, feeling like nobody wanted to come to her parties, or allow her to feel like she wasn’t important enough at only 7-
I know how much Our family circle has changed since 2021, and while we deeply miss those who have passed, our love for Delilah has only grown. She deserves to know how incredibly loved, seen, and heard she is by an entire community, Not just us because every year since that party, it’s just been the four of us!!! Today- everyone is separated- or doesn’t get along and it’s easier that way. But I can't get away with doing that anymore—she's older now, and she does notice that others get parties and people go-
And As she stands less than 4 weeks away from becoming a pre-teen, it’s a total shock to me that I’m really Someone’s Mother- and how fast all this time has flown by! I was only 3 years older than her at her current age when I was pregnant with her, and now here we are!!!
SO; This party is our chance to gather under one roof again, lift her up, and surround her with excitement, love and one’s her own age to help HER FEEL SPECIAL!

• When: Currently set for Friday (Open to switching the date if enough people can make it!)
• Theme: Hello Kitty/ PINK)
• Music, food, cake, ice cream, and fun activities. (If there are ANY specific food or drink items LMK)
• Goodie Bags: There are 2 separate custom types (special ones for slumber party guests, and others tailored for younger kids and boys!)
And since I’m sure that it will be chilly, given that it’s in November- We’ll have the indoor heat going, and a fire pit outside for the ones who don’t like being stuffed in a house! We completely understand- WE’RE SOME OF THOSE PEOPLE! 😩
