This course builds on the foundational skills developed in Defensive Shotgun and is designed for those who wish to enhance their proficiency and confidence in using a shotgun for defensive purposes. In this advanced class, we will delve deeper into techniques and strategies for utilizing a shotgun effectively within defensive scenarios. 8am- 3 pm

**Prerequisites:**
Before attending this course, you should be familiar with safe firearm handling and able to perform all aspects of loading, unloading, and clearing malfunctions on your shotgun. You should also have a solid understanding of shotgun fundamentals and safety procedures.
COURSE BREAKDOWN:
-Shotgun and firearm safety fundamentals
-Range safety and protocol
-Accuracy and skill development
-Shooting and moving -Various shooting positions
-Loading and unloading techniques
-Reloading drills
-Multiple targets
-Home defense
-Cover and concealment
EQUIPMENT LIST:
-Quality, reliable “tactical style” pump action or semiauto shotgun, 12 or 20 gauge (Mossberg 500/590, Remington 870, Ithaca, etc.) We have shotguns for loan must email before class. Can source ammo maust know 2 weeks in advance.
-Ammunition dump pouch (optional)
-Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide
-Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning with good ankle support.
-Clothing suitable for training in any weather/terrain. Layers suggested.
-Quality eye and ear protection
- knee pads (optional - but recommended)
-notepad and pen for taking notes.
- An open mind, humble, willing to learn attitude!

– 200 rounds of 2 ¾ bird shot/ game load #6, #7, or #8 shot.*** 30 rounds of 2 ¾ buck shot
