The museum board has dedicated the 2nd floor of the museum in honor of the legacy of Elvin E Smith Jr for his 20 plus years of service to the museum acting as curator, board member and the face of the museum to the public. In addition, Katherine Smith and Elvin and Katherine’s children have generously donated many of the items and artifacts from Mr. Smith’s extensive personal collection to the museum and to the people of Hardin County.
