Box making incorporates both architectural and book binding techniques. It requires both patience and precision. Students will build and decorate a beautiful and useful 13 x 13 cm box with a curved or “mansard” top. While simple in appearance, the top contains an internal structural framework to make it sturdy and long lasting. Using book board and other materials, students will learn to measure, glue, and decorate their boxes with their own paper or paper provided in class. Additional materials will be available to purchase for additional projects. Your instructor will provide step by step instructions with helpful tips for a successfully completed project. This class is suitable for beginners and experienced makers.
