Volunteers make a difference in the lives of Equi-librium participants. When you volunteer in any capacity, you help them reach their highest potential through equine-assisted services at the Lehigh Valley’s only PATH Intl. Premier Accredited therapeutic horsemanship center.
Our 2.5 hour onsite training session consists of orienting registered new volunteers to the role of side-helping. As a side helper, you will be actively involved with the participants during their lesson keeping them engaged and safe. The training session will commence in the classroom with an introduction and a tour of the facility where you’ll get to meet our beautiful equine staff members! We will then review the responsibilities of an Equi-librium Volunteer before entering the arena to do hands-on training and practice with the horses and demo riders. At the end of the session, we’ll schedule you into a weekly lesson right away (if spots are open) so you’ll be able to jump right in when appropriate.
No horse experience is required!
