Attention Cancer Dancer members. On Saturday, 16 May, the 14th Annual Debbie Cale Play Day (a day long field hockey tournament), sponsored by Stick Power, will take place at Warhill Sports Complex in Williamsburg, VA. This is a great opportunity for Cancer Dancer to do an outreach program to educate people from all over Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland. In order to do this I am looking for volunteers to assist me that day anytime between 8:00 am till 6:00 pm. Any assistance, one, two, three hours or more will be greatly appreciated. This tournament has raised over $30,000.00 for Cancer Dancer in the 14 years we have been doing this. Debbie Cale was a team mom for the Christopher Newport field hockey team for three years, 2008-2010. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2009 and fought the battle against it for two years before passing away because of it. CNU field hockey is honoring Debbie's memory by naming the tournament after her.
