Deaf Social & Movie Night

In honor of Deaf Awareness Month, you're invited to an unforgettable social movie night where language, culture, and community take center stage. 🎬👐✨

We're showing Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (PG-13), a film packed with action, monsters, and high-stakes adventure—but what makes this night truly special isn't just what's on the screen. It's about who you'll be sitting next to.

This event is a space to gather, connect, and celebrate Deaf identity and culture in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Whether you're here to watch the movie, meet new people, or immerse yourself in ASL, you’ll leave feeling more connected than when you arrived.

🤟 What to expect: An ASL-rich space where signing is encouraged and embraced. ASL interpreters will be available to support full access and connection for all attendees—whether you sign fluently, are still learning, or somewhere in between.

🍿 Snacks on us: You bring the energy, we’ll bring the treats! Free popcorn and refreshments will be available all night—because no movie is complete without them.

💬 Come curious, leave connected: We challenge you to go beyond just watching the film—introduce yourself to someone new, practice a few signs, or ask someone about their experience. Whether you come with friends or solo, this is your chance to be part of a community moment that celebrates visibility, accessibility, and belonging.

✅ Totally free to attend, but we ask that you register in advance so we can plan seating and make sure there's enough popcorn for everyone!

Presentaremos Godzilla x Kong: El Nuevo Imperio (PG-13), una película llena de acción, monstruos y aventuras emocionantes — pero lo que hace especial esta noche no es solo lo que se proyecta en la pantalla, sino con quién te sentarás.

Este evento es un espacio para reunirse, conectar y celebrar la identidad y cultura Sorda en un ambiente relajado y acogedor. Ya sea que vengas a ver la película, conocer gente nueva o sumergirte en el ASL, te irás sintiéndote más conectado que cuando llegaste.

🤟 Qué esperar: Un espacio rico en ASL donde se fomenta y valora la comunicación en lengua de señas. Habrá intérpretes de ASL disponibles para garantizar el acceso y la conexión plena para todos los asistentes — ya seas un signante fluido, estés aprendiendo o estés en camino.

🍿 Bocadillos incluidos: ¡Tú trae la energía, nosotros traemos las golosinas! Habrá palomitas y bocadillos gratis durante toda la noche — porque ninguna película está completa sin ellos.
