DDC WORKSHOP: “Design A Logo the DDC Way...in a Day”

Aaron hears this one all the time from folks, “I just don’t have the time to make things for myself.” How about a day dedicated to making that logo you’ve been putting off? Spend a day with Aaron Draplin of the Draplin Design Co. and make that special something you’ve always wanted to make…and in a day! Learn the finer points of his logo-making process, from inspiration-gathering to sketching to iterations to jumping into Illustrator to bring your logo to life. From sketch to screen to solution, all in a fun, loose, constructive environment. A working knowledge of Illustrator is recommended. Come make it happen with the DDC!

• Learn the DDC logo process from start to finish
• Learn the DDC’s top 20 tips, tricks, and techniques to improve Illustrator workflows and execution
• Practical alignment hacks and color refinements
• Crucial typographic tips and tricks
• Tactical, actionable items to improve how you make what you make, and open new paths for new styles.
• You’ll leave with a handy PDF guide to use in your work the next time you are on the job.
• Each camper gets a “DDC Super Kit” to start the day off with! (Wild Field Notes and must-have survival items!)

WHAT TO BRING:

• Fully-charged laptop and mouse.
• Sketchbook, pencil, pens.
• Any reference material that’ll aid the creation of your logo.
