Midsummer Picture Tile and Photo Frame Workshops
10:30am-12:30pm & 1:30pm-3:30pm
Taking place at Moseley Old Hall in their crafts room. Ask for directions as you arrive.
Throughout the day Wolverhampton glass artist Suzie from Suzie Lavender Contemporary Glass will be teaching two sessions of fused glass making techniques. You are welcome to attend either the morning or afternoon workshop or you can attend both sessions for the day at a discounted price. These workshops are suitable for beginners or as a refresher course. Your workshop ticket also entitles you to full entry to the House, Gardens, and facilities!
The schedule for the day is as follows:
Morning Session 10:30am-12:30pm: Midsummer Picture Tile Workshop – In this workshop you will learn some basic glass fusing, cutting and layering techniques with coloured glass accessories and 'murrini' glass. Participants will be introduced a selection of materials and tools. All participants will make a vibrant and detailed tile with a graduated background and detailed foreground.
Lunch (not provided) 12:30-1:30pm. Moseley Old Hall has a tearoom on site and many areas for enjoying your lunch in the fresh air if the weather suits.
Afternoon Session 1:30pm-3:30pm: Photo Frame Workshop - Each participant will create a border that will be fixed to a photo frame (provided) after firing. You will choose the base colours, additions and design from a wide array provided on the day and in a colour scheme of your choice. Suzie will assemble and glue your frame after firing.

Participants who are regular attendees of Suzie’s workshops are welcome to make different projects to save repetition if they contact Suzie in advance.
All creations will be kiln fired by Suzie following the sessions and then collection from Moseley Old Hall (or postage of the work can be organised) from 14days later.
Places are limited and expected to book up very quickly. Suitable for adults and for teens age 13 and over, under 16's must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Your workshop tickets also include full entry to the House and Gardens.
