Daytime Astronomy at Mansfield Dam Park

Get to know your Travis County parks during the day with Daytime Astronomy in the Park!

We’ll learn about our Sun through hands-on activities:

• View our Sun safely through a telescope and Sunspotter
• Make a Lifecycle of a Star bracelet
• Make a sundial
• Make a solar print with cyanotype paper and natural objects found at the park
• Enjoy a hike on the trails or a dip in the water afterward

This is a come and go, free and family-friendly event for all ages!

If storms are in the forecast the day of the event, we will notify you by email at least two hours prior to the start time to let you know if the event will be rescheduled.
