The intensity of emotions may be suddenly stirred by a memory, a recent phone call, a text. We can get caught in a wave of grief, self-doubt, hurt, or anger and the mind says, “I don’t want this, I want that to go away.” We meet an aspect of the mind that judges or pushes away our experience. Healing into wholeness often begins with saying yes to whatever is rising and gently holding one’s suffering with kindness, compassion, and love.
Join us as Esther Kennedy, OP, a Dominican Sister of Adrian, Michigan, a retreat leader and spiritual director, conducts a monthly Day of Mindfulness at Weber Center.
