This is an opportunity to witness and reflect on a tragic day in American history, the day when more than 400 enslaved men, women and children were sold.
On Sunday, January 18th, we'll gather at at St. Peter's Church in Hebron to hear powerful staged readings of the voices of those men, women and children. The production is based on the novel, Day of Tears by Julius Lester, who has granted his permission for this adaptation.
Discussion and hors d'oeuvres follow the performance.
