Creative Foundations for Women’s Haircutting With Dave McCulloch

A haircut is one of the most powerful services a stylist can offer but it requires confidence, precision, and a strong understanding of foundations.

Foundations to Fearless is a cutting course focused on building technical confidence in women’s haircuts while introducing modern techniques that elevate everyday salon work.

This course breaks down haircutting into clear, repeatable systems that stylists can immediately apply behind the chair. From classic above-the-collar shapes to modern disconnected silhouettes, participants will learn how to design haircuts that feel contemporary, wearable, and personalised.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

Stylists will leave with

• a clearer understanding of how to approach haircuts with intention.

COURSE FORMAT:

• Duration: Full day 9:30am - 4:30pm
• Structure: Live demonstrations + hands-on practical workshop

AM: Look 1 presented by Dave as a Look & Learn, followed by hands-on with mannequin

PM: Look 2 presented by Dave as a Look & Learn, followed by hands-on with mannequin

• apron, scissors, clippers, clips, sectioning clips, comb, tail comb, blow-dryer, thermal brushes, straightening iron etc
