Better use of data is vital if governments, the public sector and public purpose organisations are to help people. There are teams in lots of these organisations showing the way and trying to do things differently.
The Data Bites series aims to put good work on the record for us all to learn from, provide a space for people in and around government to discuss data (and more), and bring what data can do for us to life in a way everyone - inside and beyond data and digital professions - can appreciate.

These monthly events originated at the Institute for Government and you can watch previous events here.

The events will be hosted in Westminster at Broadway House, Tothill St, London SW1H 9NQ (the closest stations are St James's Park, Westminster and Victoria Underground).

• David Canning, Head of Digital Knowledge & Information Management, Cabinet Office, on digital records management and how he conquered the digital heap
• Matt Kerlogue, Senior Data Analyst, Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, on the Blavatnik Index of Public Administration 2024: how do civil services compare to each other?
• Laura Gilbert, director of 10DS and the Incubator for Artificial Intelligence
