Darol Anger / Bruce Molsky :: A Masters Concert

The Birdsong Society is excited to present two legends of roots music. Both artists are internationally known for their musical reach across several genres from bluegrass, classical, and rock. This will be Darol's second time on the Birdsong stage (previously with Mr. Sun) and this will be Bruce's first.

Darol is a freestyle fiddler, composer, producer and educator. Exceptional among modern fiddlers for his versatility and depth, Anger has helped drive the evolution of contempoary string bands through his involvement with numerous pathbreaking ensembles including The Dave Grisman Quintet, Turtle Island String Quartet,and Mr. Sun.

Multi-insrumentalist, Bruce Molsky, is an absolute master in traditional music to classical groups. His PBS appearance showcased Bruce as the authority on North Carolina's "old time" bluegrass. He has collaborated with a wide array of musicians from rock legend Mark Knopfler to the classical "Anonymous 4". Bruce is a special scholar at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He is the go-to-guy for the next generation of roots music.
