D&D 5.5 Southern Style Horror One-Shot

Enter the Shadow Marsh for hunt, track what stalks the bayou, uncover its secrets, and survive what waits within the fog
About this Event

Beginning in a Rhythm & Blue's tavern, you take on the job to track down whatever has been terrorizing wary villagers in the isolated settlements within The Shadow Marsh

The stories don't agree

Some swear it's only bears, large ones perhaps but bears all the same

Others claim something has been stalking the bayou at night

Something that knows when you're watching

And the elders? They don't speak of bears at all for they whisper of something left behind

A remnant from a time best forgotten. A creature that should have died with the old ways but refused

Now, as your hunting party pushes deeper into the black waters, drowned forests, and forgotten paths of the Shadow Marsh, the line between hunter and hunted begins to fade

The marsh grows quiet

The birds stop singing

And somewhere beyond the fog something is watching, waiting

What begins as a simple hunt will become a brutal game of cat and mouse

a bloody descent into the darkest corners of The Shadow Marsh

And when the marsh finally reveals its secrets

you may wish you had never gone looking

Just bring your thirst for beer and horror 🧙🍻🧛‍♀️
