DANCE REVOLUTIONARIES (PG)
Dance Revolutionaries is a captivating visual journey into dance featuring two unique performances:: Portraits (a series of five solo dances) alongside Sea of Troubles, a ground-breaking production of the rarely-seen ballet - both set in stunning locations.
The programme captures the raw emotion and trailblazing spirit of two dance visionaries, the choreographers Robert Cohan and Kenneth MacMillan, who revolutionised how we perceive and connect with dance.
In Portraits, Cohan's pandemic-inspired solos explore life’s personal moments, creating an intimate self-portrait of the choreographer through his dancers.
MacMillan’s Sea of Troubles, inspired by Shakespeare's Hamlet, poignantly explores the universal human emotions of grief, rage, jealousy and the drive for revenge.
Yorke Dance Project, in partnership with the Royal Ballet - and with guest artists Romany Pajdak, Dane Hurst, and Jonathan Goddard - produce and perform this extraordinary journey, providing unprecedented access to the revolutionary works of Cohan and MacMillan.
