An evening of dinner and dancing to Ballroom, Latin, and Swing rhythms that will transport you across cultures and through time
About this Event

This will be a unique evening, not to be missed! Make new friends, catch up with some familiar faces, and enjoy an elegant dinner and dance with some flair!

Baren Von Footen Moven, one of your hosts, has traveled internationally for years and collected dance music from the different cultures and countries along the way. The music for the evening has been carefully curated for your dance pleasure! Your familiar social, ballroom, Latin, swing, club and country dances with a different touch (or should I say, flavor)! A dance list and sheet will be provided with suggested dances. To top it off, we've arranged a dinner to reflect this international theme. Please get your tickets and reserve your tables early.

Tickets

Come for the dance-only or the dinner and dance, with a group, friend, or solo. There are different price points for group tables. We will also have some open, unreserved tables (unless we sell out of tables). In that case, there will be enough chairs from everyone.

Menu

Greek salad, Garlic Bread, Italian lasagna, German Chocolate cake, Mexican Cafe de Olla (Mexican coffee with a touch spice). Complimentary wine with dinner

Coffee, tea and water available all evening. Non-alcoholic drinks will be available for a small fee. One glass of wine included with your ticket (by drink ticket) (whether dining or not).

We'd like to fill the place with dancers, music lovers, and those looking for something a little different to do for the evening! If you are unable to dance - due to physical restrictions or you don't know how, you are welcome to come and join us, enjoy the dinner and watching the dancing, and maybe get some pointers to get out on the floor.

In keeping with the theme, we encourage you to dress to impress and to wear something that celebrates your cultural heritage. Vintage-style outfits encouraged, but not required. Please plan to attend the entire evening and make this a fun and joyful evening that both Mindi and I have envisioned!

The Organizers:
Lynn Buess(aka: Baren Von Footen Moven) and Mindi Sheer met recently and realized we had a similar dream to present a gala special dance for all. We hope you will join us to make it THE Gala event of the dance season. Lynn (aka Baron) is a long-time dancer and enjoys how dance transports the body & mind across continents and even the cosmos. Mindi (aka Dance Ecology) is a former competitive dancer who loves dance history and dance culture and teaches all types of Latin and Ballroom dances at The Dojo.
