For independent Musicians, Grassroots Venues, and Tour/Band Managers.Damiam Liptrot has been working with and supporting musicians for 40 years.
We are fortunate to have Damian with us in Launceston while he is touring with Merry Hell, ahead of their concert in Launceston Town Hall, whom he has supported to US and UK folk chart success and building a large, devoted following on the Festival and Folk circuits.
Acting variously as manager, agent, promoter, publicist, roadie and spiritual advisor to a variety of artists, Damian has seen them play 1000’s of gigs and festivals of all sizes, featured on international, national, regional and local radio and TV, and covered in all the right print and online media appropriate to their genres. Artists he has supported have won multiple awards, gained chart success, undertaken prestige tours and supports, as well as releasing well received albums and singles to ever growing and appreciative audiences.
In this workshop, Damian will talk about his experience of managing and promoting artists and organising tours, as well as how independent musicians can take their music from the studio and out into the wider world. Damian will also hold a question and answer session where you can ask any questions not covered in his workshop and draw on his wealth of experience.
