WE Camp at Ayton PRE, North Tawton, DevonWhether you want an immersive weekend of Working Equitation in preparation for the upcoming ABWE Southwest Regionals OR you simply want some fun time away with your horse enjoying flatwork, obstacle work and learning about the beautiful function that can come from Working Equitation, you are welcome to this 2 day camp at Ayton PRE, North Tawton, in the rolling green hills of Mid Devon.
The camp will be kept intimate, and will only have a maximum of 6 people. In addition to your own sessions, you’ll also get the opportunity to learn from watching others lessons as well.
Horses can be in-hand as well as ridden. All levels of ability are welcome.
Hot drinks and refreshments will be available, but otherwise meals are on a bring your own basis.

£275 per horse & rider
Stabling details:
Stabling will be booked directly with the venue once I have confirmed your attendance to camp.
It will be £25 per night which includes hay and straw, and an individual turnout area (grass or dry lot, depending on weather).
Human Accommodation:
Camping in vehicles or tents on-site is available. There is a toilet on-site.
There are also many Airbnb's, B&B's etc available in the local area.
One of the most straightforward accommodations would be The Waie Inn (https://www.waieinn.co.uk), which is only 2.5 miles/10 min away.
Provisional itinerary:
Friday PM:
Arrive between 2 - 5pm
6pm Introduction talk to Working Equitation: the phases involved, attire, general rules etc.
Saturday:
9am - 1:30pm: 45min individual lessons on the flat with the option to run through a WE dressage test.
2:30pm - 4:30pm Ease of Handling (Obstacles) course building and walking.
This is a non-ridden session which will allow people time to really immerse themselves in the obstacles; how to construct them, how to ride them, the most common pit falls etc.
Depending on how much time people spend on the EoH build & walk, there maybe an opportunity for group ridden EoH.
7pm Group dinner if people would like to. Pub of choice to be confirmed on the day.
Sunday AM:
9am - 1:30pm: 45min individual lessons through the EoH course
2:30pm - 4:30pm: everyone gets individual time to ride the EoH course as a full, competitive course, from start to finish and have a go at a Speed round.
Departure can happen as soon as your afternoon session is over or you’re welcome to spectate your colleagues until the last has gone.
