Damen O'Brien will be our featured writer in March.Damen is a multi-award-winning poet based in Brisbane. His prizes include The Moth Poetry Prize, the Peter Porter Poetry Prize and the New Millennium Writings Award.
His poems have been published in eight countries, nominated for Pushcarts and Best of the Net and highly commended in the Forward Prizes. His poems can be found in Florida Review, Aesthetica, London Magazine, Island and other journals.
Damen's latest book is Walking the Boundary (Pitt Street Poetry, 2024). Damen is looking forward to sharing his work at the Ambo Gallery.
We'll have our usual Open Mic - in which you are all warmly invited to participate.
