Dakota Electric invites you to attend an appreciation breakfast, information session, and an exclusive tour of the MISO Eagan facility.
- MISO, the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, is responsible for coordinating the wholesale electricity market across the Midwest. Your participation in the MISO market helps to keep the region's electricity reliable and affordable! More information about MISO: MISO Fact Sheet.
- Due to MISO being a high security facility, no walk-ins will be accepted.
- Registration for this event will close on October 12.
Agenda
**Please arrive at the start of your check-in time (8 or 8:30 a.m.) to ensure enough time for checking government-issued picture IDs and printing badges. Food and networking to follow check-in.
8:00 a.m. Group 1 arrival, check-in, and receive visitor badge.
8:30 a.m. Group 2 arrival, check-in, and receive visitor badge. Group 1 begins tour.
9:00 a.m. Introduction by Dakota Electric and Great River Energy. Breakfast available.
9:10 a.m. Generator Winter Preparedness Presentation by Interstate Power Systems.
9:30 a.m. MISO Presentation.
10:00 a.m. Group 1 adjourns.
10:00 - 10:30 a.m. Group 2 takes tour.
Security Details from MISO:
- Please arrive at the designated 8 a.m. or 8:30 a.m. time you select during registration and park in the MISO parking lot near the main entrance.
- All visitors must sign in at the security desk inside the main entry doors. A government-issued picture ID (such as a driver's license or passport) is required. You will be issued a visitor badge that must always be visible while at the facility. Please return the badge to the security desk when you leave the building.
- Foreign nationals will need to bring a US Visa and Passport.
- During registration and check-in, you will be asked to sign an attestation stating that you are not a marketing function employee within the energy industry according to FERC standards. See the definition of this here: Marketing Function Employee.
- Visitors must always be escorted by a MISO employee. Security alarms will go off if you go into an unauthorized area.
- No photography or video is permitted on site.
Please note that anyone who isn’t on the approved Tour Participant list for their designated group, or who hasn’t checked in through security before their Tour start time may not be permitted to attend the Tour, per MISO/ FERC guidelines.
