For our Summer Season Finale September 14th Rooftop Sunday Tea Dance, The Dads of Love invite DJ Brian Kent to man the decks not just as a headliner — but as a storyteller. Brian takes the rooftop helm from 2 to 8 PM, crafting a six-hour set that’s more than music — it’s his personal interpretation of the tea dance form.

We’re building something lasting. A new tradition. A platform for DJs to go deep, tell stories, and elevate the afternoon dance into something sublime.

Dads of Love Sunday Rooftop Tea Dance returns to one of Chicago’s hidden gems, Roots Rooftop — a glass, retractable rooftop venue that lets sunshine light up the dance floor.

Upstairs, you'll find a full bar with festive specialty cocktails and joyful beats from DJ Brian Kent. Downstairs, the party gets fueled with hand-tossed pizzas, famous mozzarella sticks and more favorite Roots snacks.

It’s the perfect close-out to the Summer Season: open air, open hearts, open dance floor.
