About this Event
Presented by The Redwood Discovery Museum in partnership with KEET-TV
Join us for an exciting, interactive event where kids can step into the world of Leonardo da Vinci—one of history’s greatest inventors, artists, and scientists! In celebration of the upcoming Ken Burns documentary LEONARDO DA VINCI, premiering on KEET PBS on November 18 and 19 at 8 p.m., families are invited to explore some of da Vinci’s most brilliant designs, including the aerial screw, parachutes, and the ornithopter.
Through engaging, hands-on activities, children will have the chance to design and build their own parachutes, test bridge structures, and experiment with machines just like da Vinci did!
Some highlights of the event:
- Build and test your own parachutes
- Experiment with bridge structures
- Explore da Vinci’s innovative machines
- Explore the worm gear
- The Archimedes Screw
This free event is perfect for children of all ages who have a passion for art, science, and invention. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to inspire your child’s creativity through the genius of Leonardo da Vinci!
